Billingham to Budapest

On the 12th September BBA took a team of 9 boxers to Budapest, Hungary to compete against some of their National Champions.

For a lot of our boxers this gave them the opportunity to compete internationally for the first time, this was a great experience for them.

on day 1 we had nine competetive bouts. All of our boxers equipped themselves well, with everyone remaining calm and composed and boxing well under pressure. We came away with 8 wins from a 9 bout contest.

On day 2, the majority of the boxers faced different opposition, again producing some very good performances. All boxed very well displaying a wide variety of skills and all of the coaches were very impressed with their performances. We came away again with 8 wins out of 9 bouts.

Plans are already in place for another international trip to Phoenix Arizona to compete in the Gene Lewis Box Cup.  We will be looking to raising funds to help our boxers to get there, and looking for Sponsors and Businesses that would like to support the boxers in this exciting tournament.
